Perhaps someday I'll be famous... Meanwhile, there's this:
 | South Seattle Star
 | Recently, this local paper did a write-up about
art in coffee houses and I, "Julie Arnow," was interviewed.
Will they EVER get my name right?? |
 | Here's the text of
the article |
|
 | Porcupine Studio Open House
 | Porcupine Studios is the name for the art studio
that I share with Liz Ruest, Julie Vachon, and Dawn Aiken. Liz
and I came up with the name based on our sometimes, ummm, prickly
personalities (ours, not the other two, they just inherited the
name). Not too long ago we put up a show at the studio and had an
open house. It was lots of fun and several good things came
out of it including selling some work and then moving the show to
the coffee house up the street (see text above and bullet below). |

 | Group Show at Virginia's American Coffee Bar
 | Ken, the owner of Virginia's came to our open
house and seemed to like our work and agreed to have a show at his
wonderful establishment which is a few blocks from the studio (at
20th and Yesler). A few weeks later, when I went in for
coffee, he asked if we wanted to hang the show that week. We
did, and it's been there since (probably coming down pretty soon). |
